Wild Republic Toys
For almost 50 years, Ohio-based Wild Republic has been creating realistic toys designed to delight children and inspire a connection to the wild animals the toys represent. The brand launched with a stuffed dolphin in 1979, and today its toys can be found in zoos, aquariums, museums, and wildlife parks worldwide. In keeping with its mission to help protect wild spaces, the company has eliminated almost all single-use plastic, and has turned nearly 9 million recycled water bottles into Ecokins plushies, and even incorporate biodegradable materials into the toys. We’re particularly fond of the Audubon Birds stuffies, which sing authentic bird songs and were created in conjunction with the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Wild Republic gives back to many environmental causes, animal groups, and charities, and its founders opened a girls’ orphanage in their native India. Prices for stuffed animals start around $9.99.
