Bee's Wrap
Plastic cling wrap may look flimsy and insubstantial, but it has a devastating effect on the environment. The transparent scraps often end up in landfills or in the ocean, where the plastic accumulates bacteria and then poisons fish, sea birds, and marine mammals that mistake the wrap for food. This is all to say: Cling wrap is really bad for the Earth. Fortunately, there’s an easy fix — Bee’s Wrap, pliable organic cotton sheets coated in beeswax, plant oil, and tree resin. These clever wraps are perfect for covering leftovers, swaddling cheeses, packing sandwiches, and much more. A variety of shapes and sizes makes it easy to find the right wrap for the job; you can also buy large sheets or continuous rolls to trim the Bee's Wrap to your exact specifications. At the end of the product’s lifespan (about 200 washes), toss it in the compost or use it as a fire starter. Quick tip: Warm Bee’s Wrap between your hands to make it more malleable and easier to use.
