Alpaca-Fur-Filled Bird Feeders

There’s nothing more charming than watching birds, but unwelcome critters often see birdfeeders as an open invitation. Clark Summit Alpacas in New Hampshire has created a charming solution: alpaca-fur-filled suet cages. The family’s fluffy alpacas have plenty of fur to spare, and birds can always use something soft to line their nests. But, the rodents will stay away. Once the fur supply has been exhausted, you can add a fur refill, or — if non-bird visitors don’t trouble you — you can just fill the cage with traditional bird suet packs. (The suet cage itself is particularly attractive, with a small copper roof.) Clark Summit also makes alpaca figurines, and uses alpaca fur to make toys for cats and even hedgehogs! One thing is clear: Clark Summit delivers on everything related to animals and cute.
