Wine + Peace

We love Wine + Peace, a marketplace committed to supporting and promoting independent, sustainable wineries. All of the small wineries featured follow equitable labor practices and use organic, biodynamic, or regenerative permaculture. Sam Decker, Wine + Peace co-founder, helps indie winemakers connect directly with people searching for great wine “made ethically and equitably.” For a special celebration, Sam suggests the 2021 Sparkling Chenin Blanc from Maître de Chai, a California winery founded by two French Laundry alums. He calls this bubbly “super crisp and refreshing, with flavors of Asian pear, daffodil, and scallions” — perfect for any festive celebration.
