Miele Vacuums
Certain products will never be quite as sustainable as others: a vacuum cleaner, for instance, simply can’t go in the compost at the end of its life. So what sustainability really means, in this context, is getting a product that does its job extremely well and that lasts for an extremely long time. I have never been someone who particularly liked cleaning, but I really like my Miele vacuum. It's light, easy to maneuver, and feels good in my hand. It does a great job cleaning up after me, my husband, our two cats, and our dog. And I have to admit that I actually kind of enjoy using it. Miele has great customer service and its products are renowned for their longevity; I can expect my vacuum to last up to 20 years. Miele became carbon neutral in 2021 and continues to make improvements in packaging and materials.
